Final Week of 21 Day Fix; Round 1

Day 15!!! One week to go on the 21 day fix and things are definitely happening 😉

Okay, first of all, honesty time…this program has most definitely challenged my foods like never before! Like, even on my fitness competing “lean out” phase didn’t push me to the edge like this.

I’m a volume eater, through and through! I eat tons of CLEAN foods; veggies, lean proteins, complex carbs, healthy fats…yada yada yada.  You know the drill. Clean eats. Look better. Feel better. Eat organic. Choose grass-fed over grain fed…

But guess what? My issues aren’t from eating crappy foods anymore. Nope, I kicked those bad habits about 20 years ago. Now, it’s all about the amount of foods I eat. Amazing how much you can learn from doing something that totally pushes you out of your comfort zone.

So, basically, I’ve followed this plan about 80% of the time. That kind of pisses me off. Just because I need it to be 100% and I get so hungry. But I suck it up and drink my water and my herbal teas and really focus on my goals.

That helps…for a bit. Then the hunger kicks in and I have to start all over again.

But then…guess what I found out this past weekend?

I’m getting FULL when I eat my smaller meals now. WHAAAAT??? That hasn’t happened before!

Like today, I did my morning workout (which is still no joke but getting easier each time) and then had my strawberry Shakeology with 1/2 frozen banana and water and ice (and here I was always adding almond milk, fruit, etc) and when I was done drinking it; I was F-U-L-L!!!!! Like Thanksgiving day stuffed!!

That made me happy. Why? Cuz my body is getting used to the smaller portions and less foods. Yay me! Which is a big reason why I have made the decision to follow this program “for realz” again after I complete this first round.

The goal for round 2 will be to get some heavier weights and maybe add in some extra cardio on some of the days. Doubling up, I guess? In fact, this week will be some double workouts as written out in the program (optional, of course but I love a good challenge!)

I will share my results after this week ends, which ends round 1..and then I will start round 2 and finish just prior to my cruise! Dude, a month away!!! Booked my hotel for Ft. Lauderdale today and it’s really starting to sink in!
